JOB SUMMARY: Handles and delivers bulk and packaged fertilizer and chemicals, performs daily vehicle inspections, handles and delivers packaged chemicals, cleans and maintains equipment, assists mechanic, may maintain maintenance records, & other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: •High School diploma or demonstrated experience in vocational agricultural or a combination of education and work experience •Valid driver's license & Current CDL required (with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements) •DOT-minimum age requirement is 21 years •Must be able to work 40+hour weeks including weekends ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.To load or assist in loading trailer with materials. To unload or assist in unloading trailer by using forklift or hand truck. 2.To operate semi-truck with one or two trailers, according to state laws. To transport loads over required route to proper destinations, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations. 3.Must be able to conduct a standard DOT truck inspection. 4.Capable of filling out all company and DOT required paperwork. 5.Must be able to fill out shipping bills of lading and necessary signatures and return completed paper work to shipping office. To maintain any related records required. 6.Must be able to lift and move up to 80 pounds. 7.To perform miscellaneous service duties such as checking, on a daily basis, oil, water, gasoline, and air in tires. To report any maintenance malfunctions to maintenance dept. 8.This summary of job responsibilities and duties is meant to be a general description of this position and is not all-inclusive. Perform all project management duties associated with administering contracts with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, design consultants, etc.    Key Tasks: - Review plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness. Offer guidance regarding cost, constructability and integrity of materials, methods and systems. Recommend value engineering options. - Develop scopes of work and coordinate with the Purchasing Manager in the preparation of Requests for Proposal. Review and analyze proposals. - Negotiate with contractors, consultants, vendors and suppliers to obtain the most complete scope of work at the best price and schedule. Present recommendations regarding award of work to senior management and ownership. - Review RFIs, submittals, change order requests and the like. Review and approve payment applications and invoices. Maintain all project files in paper and electronic form. - Review, interpret and analyze critical path construction schedules. - Perform construction monitoring to determine compliance with plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, industry standards, laws and regulations. - Attend and participate in/lead Construction Progress Meetings, Design Coordination Meetings, Payment Application Meetings and other meetings as requested. - Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships among co-workers, partners, clients, contractors, consultants, municipal officials, etc. - Perform other tasks as assigned. From time-to-time support other operating groups and/or managers within the organization for special projects or special needs.      Skills: - A minimum of three years’ experience with a general contractor or a developer managing multi-family new construction projects. - Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field. - Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects of various size and scope. - Capable of analyzing and organizing information and making presentations of same to senior management and ownership. - An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. - Able to travel over night when required.   Qualifications: - Working knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the new construction and renovation of agriculture related buildings and storage systems. Similar knowledge regarding Environmental, Health and Safety is a plus. - Familiar with design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of coordinated construction documents and related design work (conceptual design, BIM/Revit, etc). Able to coordinate the work of design teams throughout the design and construction administration processes. - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering and technology related to the design and construction of bulk fertilizer buildings and storage bins. - Familiar with legal, economic and accounting principles and practices utilized in construction. - Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies for the protection of workers, the general public, materials and structures during construction. - Work effectively with limited supervision. - Able to effectively manage time and multi-task. Culture at CPS is the core of everything we do and all employees are respectful of diverse opinions and views.   Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position is accountable to meet and exceed annual sales goals and profit margin objectives of CPS products and services.   Key Tasks: - Responsible for meeting and exceeding annual sales goals and profit margin objectives as set by branch management - Implement on-farm based sales strategy to promote CPS products and services - Maintains and analyzes a database/record of customer profiles (product usage and service requirements) in order to identify, categorize, and prioritize customer base - Develops and maintains effective business relations with current and potential future customers, based upon an approach that targeting customer with whom the company can profitable to do business - Provides timely service as well as agronomic information and advice to current and potential customers - Arranges for access to specialists where necessary to bring mutual benefit to the customer and the organization - Arranges for customer learning opportunities that provide incremental value - Keeps informed of competitor activities within the market area and recommends marketing program and service revisions - Review customer accounts to ensure that payments are within the approved credit policy and performs collection functions as required - Monitors competitive activity and trends - May be required to keep records and prepare reports on sales activities - Solid knowledge of CPS product offerings including features, benefits, and uses - Ability to interpret soil, tissue and water analysis - Initiates trials that will support marketing efforts - Researches and responds to technical inquiries - Performs other duties as required Skills: - Strong time management, planning and multi-tasking skills - Excellent communication and people skills, both written and oral - Strong computer skills including all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) - Ability to work independently or as a part of an effective team - Conducts themselves in a professional manner, and ability to keep confidential information Qualifications: - 5 years of progressively responsible experience in agri-business and/or other related customer service function. Equivalent combinations of education and experience, which result in the required level of knowledge, competencies, skills and abilities, may be considered - Grade 12 or recognized equivalent, supplemented with successful completion of Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business Certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education - Demonstrated experience in vocational, agricultural, or a combination of education and work experience - Minimum 2-3 years sales experience - CCA or P.Ag.
