Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Crop Consultant is responsible for managing customer accounts within their assigned territory. This position is responsible for maximizing customer and company profitability, providing solutions to meet customer’s requirements, performing all business tasks safely and efficiently, and other duties as assigned. What you'll do: - Plan and develop customer crop plans, including fertility, crop protection, and seed portfolios - Strengthen customer business plans, profitably and sustainably; achieve profit margin objectives - Expand customer’s trust to be the agronomic business partner of choice - Integrate and position proprietary products into customer business plans - Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of product features, benefits and use - Conduct initial customer credit review to determine credit risk and establish credit limits - Collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers - Recognize and communicate company finance programs when applicable - Keep confidential customer information, accurate records, and organized business plans - Make safety a daily priority - Able to work additional hours to meet business demands - Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor What you'll bring: - Minimum of 3 years’ experience selling crop inputs to ag producers  - Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills - Must be a self-motivated team player with the desire to succeed   - Highly skilled at business/enterprise analysis - Strong time management capability - Proficient use of computer programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint - Valid Driver’s License - CDL endorsement preferred - Must pass pre-employment drug screen - Must meet DOT and company requirements - Able to work additional hours to meet business demands Are you a good match? What you will do: - In coordination with branch manager and crop consultant, intern will provide accurate scouting reports and recommendations based on crop stages and weed identification - Assist in product deliveries to customers, with timeliness, efficient communication, and required paperwork - Support crop consultants with seed treatment, including deliveries and tracking seed inventory - Understand and assist the process of fertilizer blending - Assist in loading/mixing/applying pesticides, gaining understanding of the importance of including proper adjuvants, mixing order, temperature, other field/weather conditions potentially influencing application - Assist with Loveland and proprietary product trails - Maintain and observe safe working conditions at branch locations and report any unsafe working conditions to facility manager - Other duties as assigned What you will bring: - Must live within a daily driving distance of a Nutrien location as housing assistance is not provided.
