    Job Summary:

    Handles and delivers bulk and packaged fertilizer and chemicals, performs daily vehicle inspections, handles and delivers packaged chemicals, cleans and maintains equipment, assists mechanic, may maintain maintenance records, & other duties as assigned. To operate the warehouse forklift and duties associated with servicing customers.

     

    Plant Information:

    Located in Fairbury, NE, this plant has undergone over $18 million of upgrades and expansions in the last 3 years. We take pride in our facility and understand the need to keep it in excellent condition and working order, balancing the need for current production and increasing capacity while maintaining a strong safety culture. The facility has a rail spur for efficient unloading of raw materials and loading of finished product. It also has multiple loading docks for loading out finished product by truck.

     

    This plant site manufactures, packages and distributes liquid fertilizers and micro-nutrient products. There are separate manufacturing facilities, bulk storage, packaging lines, warehouses, distribution docks and maintenance units. Our QC lab is new and has excellent analytical equipment. The plant also has an off-site warehouse nearby that they are responsible for operating.

     

    Key Tasks:

    • Comply with established safety, health, and environmental requirements. Operate company owned equipment in a safe and efficient manner
    • Accurately process and administer required shipping documents.
    • Load or assist in loading/unloading raw material and finished goods shipments.
    • Perform limited maintenance duties.
    • Set up equipment for liquid product transfers.
    • Able to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
    • Actively participate in monthly inventory and reconciliation activities. 
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma. Associate or Bachelors education preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license required. Current CDL required with Hazmat Endorsement, a plus.
    • Able to Forklift truck certify.
    • Keyboard and computer capable.
    • Must use tact and diplomacy in dealing with customers.
    • Must be responsible with equipment and vehicles.
    • To have general knowledge of warehouse procedures.
    • Must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment safely.
