    Job Summary:

    The Production Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Loveland Products, Fairbury, NE manufacturing operations, this includes product formulation and packaging, equipment maintenance and operability, and inventory management and distribution. The Production Manager recruits, trains and retains sufficient operations and warehouse personnel to ensure site material flows and efficiencies.

     Key Tasks include, but are not limited to:

    • Supervise and direct manufacturing personnel to consistently deliver materials consumption, production volumes, and quality goals.
    • Coordinate with both plant scheduler and buyer to deliver best manufacturing schedule to support business production forecasts, as well as, site efficiency expectations.
    • Perform material consumption and production variance analysis to ensure Shop Orders, Bill of Materials, and Routers accurately reflect operations activities.
    • Actively collaborate in developing methods for inventory forecasts, purchasing cycles, and materials controls.
    • Establish production metrics to monitor material inventories, production progress, and other operational activities that affect schedules and customer delivery.
    • Participate in developing and executing strategies to meet site business growth and sourcing needs.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to identify cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
    • Actively participates as a member of the leadership team in making cross-functional site decisions.
    • Manage warehouse personnel to efficiently process both incoming and outbound materials to ensure accurate shipping and inventories.
    • Manage personnel uniformly and resolve conflicts consistent with established coaching and counseling practices.
    • Maintain positive work environment and employee relations while ensuring policies and practices adhere to environmental, health and safety expectations are met.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field of study.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, 3 years progressive experience in chemical manufacturing environment, reacting processes strongly preferred.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Financial skills, including, cost modeling and analysis.
    • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems use in manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in total quality, six sigma, lean, or other similar manufacturing environments preferred.
