    Key Tasks:

    • Sell company products and services.
    • Maintain sales programs within assigned territory/accounts.
    • Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase sales of agricultural inputs in order to meet and exceed sales goals.
    • Assure customer satisfaction of products: on time and accurate delivery and quality of product.
    • Monitor competitive activity and trends.
    • Keep records and prepare reports on sales activities as required.
    • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of product features, benefits and use.
    • Maintain continuing education on marketing techniques, products and services.
    • Provide training to employees as needed.
    • Initiate trials that support marketing efforts.
    • Interpret soil, tissue and water analysis.
    • Research and respond to technical inquiries.  Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues.  Resolve issues associated with adverse product results.
    • Develop proprietary fertilizer formulations.
    • Publish and distribute periodic summaries of agronomic observations and research.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • Agricultural based degree desired.
    • Demonstrated supervisory experience in vocational agricultural or a combination of education and work experience.
    • Valid driver’s license is required.
    • Travel to market areas in other states may be required.
    • Works under general supervision; typically reports to a facility manager.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
