    Job Summary:

    The Manager of Grower Engagement will lead Nutrien Ag Solutions’ end-to-end grower engagement strategy, planning, and execution. This position will report to the Senior Director of Commercial Execution and will be responsible for building a team to oversee grower engagement.

     

    The Manager of Grower Engagement will be responsible for managing and overseeing engagement plans, developing micro-market strategies, and creating and maintaining a robust grower segmentation. They will collaborate with the commercial development, solutions, and marketing services teams to facilitate the account planning process across all crop consultants and identify growth opportunities through rigorous analysis.

     

    The ideal candidate will effectively demonstrate experience using an iterative, data-driven approach to developing and executing marketing campaigns and strategies, integrating grower feedback and extracting meaningful insights from results to make impactful business recommendations.

     

    Key Tasks:

    Define and maintain grower engagement strategy and goals

    • Develop and maintain a grower engagement strategy with the aim to maintain customer loyalty and achieve growth objectives.
    • Measure the customer experience at each touchpoint for continuous improvement, analyzing grower feedback and adjusting to improve net promotor score.
    • Track performance and progress in-season against account plans, coordinating field roll-up of individual account plans

    Execute grower campaigns and promotions

    • Establish baseline of current events and campaigns and bring best practices to current events
    • Plan and launch new grower touchpoints investments and create specific engagement events (e.g. grower days)
    • Working with local teams, develop strategies for local touchpoints, tailored to each division or branch
    • Work with Insights and Analytics to understand the effectiveness of programs using analytical methods and measure outcomes (e.g. ROI, reach, performance), adjusting grower investments accordingly 

    Build micro-market growth strategy

    • Identify priority micro-market and set growth objectives
    • Lead micro-market planning and resources allocation to reach growth objectives, including:
        • Develop templates and maps for annual planning
        • Coordinate analytics
        • Identify and target core growth opportunities
        • Manage execution in the field
        • Roll up micro-market plans to meet organization growth targets 

    Develop and maintain grower segmentation

    • Build a grower segmentation based on customer needs, purchasing behavior, and demographic information
    • Use segmentation to inform target price, design programs, and adjust micro-market value propositions
    • Maintain segmented grower database and update with 3rd party and internal data

    Qualifications:

    • University degree in business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred (e.g. MBA)
    • 8+ years of progressive experience in retail sales, marketing, or customer service
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to comfortably and professionally correspond with a variety of team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization and customer base
    • Demonstrated success implementing repeatable processes, sales plans, and customer campaigns
    • Technical proficiency with a variety of software applications, high aptitude of business analytics
