    Central Indiana Precision Ag Lead- Indianapolis IN 

    Job Description:  Precision-Ag Specialist - Marketing & Support                                                                                                                                                                                                         

    Reports to: Division Manager

    Position Type:  Full time / Regular

     

    Objectives

    Assist division with support and marketing responsibilities.  Perform delegated support, marketing and administrative functions utilizing communication, organizational and technical skills.

     

    The purpose of this position is to increase the adoption and use of CPS’ precision ag program and improve the user’s overall experience by providing new and enhanced support resources including direct interaction with users and other precision ag specialists. 

     

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture with emphasis on agricultural technology desired
    • Experience in precision ag technology, support and sales an asset
    • Precision ag software and hardware knowledge
    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the ag industry
    • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form to explain and encourage the benefits and value of precision farming
    • Able to speak in front of large groups
    • Microsoft Office and general computer skills
    • Valid driver’s license

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Promote strategy and adoption of through internal meetings and presentations etc.

     

    1. Develop and publish support documents for CPS’ precision ag program’s features and capabilities (incl. videos, PowerPoint presentations, written instructions etc.)

     

    1. Coordinate and manage vendor support and training events, materials and outreach
      1. Attend sessions when appropriate and monitor user feedback
      2. Ensure materials are being distributed adequately

     

    1. Respond to and monitor user inquiries for information and support

     

    1. Research, document and publish use case studies for internal distribution

     

    1. Coordinate and monitor local CPS support for key customer accounts

     

    1. Attend and participate in Summer and Winter CPS Team Precision Meetings
      1. Assist with planning and presentation topics

     

    1. Other tasks and responsibilities that support the objectives and purpose of this position.

     

    1. Perform other duties as assigned
