Field Manager, Sustainable Ag – Remote

What you will do:

  • Lead and grow a team of field specialists supporting sustainable agriculture work
  • Lead the Sustainable Ag field specialists in their role of assisting retail divisions and associated branches with developing and implementing their sustainable agronomic strategies
  • Lead the Sustainable Ag field specialist in cross training and supporting other Nutrien Ag Solutions teams as identified to assist in promoting sustainable solutions and measurements.
  • Lead a culture change within Nutrien Ag Solutions to become the world’s most sustainable agricultural retailer
  • Prioritize field work in coordination with the Sustainable Ag leadership team
  • Keep key stakeholders informed of new sustainability projects and opportunities
  • Achieve key performance indicators and sales targets as it relates to Sustainability
  • Evaluate new opportunities and present to the Sustainability Leadership Team for viability
  • Assist as needed to provide direct field support within assigned projects:
    • Develop partnerships with retail for recruitment of growers into Sustainability Measurement Campaigns
    • Provide technology training and technical support to Sustainable Ag stakeholders
    • Assist with sustainability campaign kickoff and grower workshop meetings
    • Assist in grower data collection and quality assurance as needed
  • Understand local farm production practices and manage grower engagement
  • Work cross functionally with other teams with Digital, Marketing, and Innovation to achieve sustainability targets

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Soils, Agribusiness, or other ag-related degree preferred
  • 7+ years of agronomic experience, other related project work experience, or demonstration of high level of understanding of the agricultural industry
  • Agronomic knowledge of the crops grown within assigned geography
  • Aptitude for information technology (both hardware and software)
  • Proficient use of computer programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver’s License
