The Precision Ag Adoption Advisor, as part of the Digital Adoption team, is responsible for creating and fostering relationships with internal business stakeholders who currently interact with Echelon platform features and capabilities to provide precision ag services to their customers. They will also assist business stakeholders with best practices for positioning, pricing and marketing these services to their grower customers. The Precision Ag Adoption Advisor also works with external partners to enhance and/or support Echelon platform capabilities. This role is responsible for providing the “voice of the field” input to the Digital Adoption Field Manager and works closely with the rest of the Digital Adoption team to promote the adoption of digital agronomy products and Echelon capabilities.

What you will do:

  • Assist the Digital Adoption Field Manager in creating and maintaining relationships with internal business stakeholders who currently interact with Echelon platform features and capabilities.
  • Outreach to engage new business stakeholders with the Echelon platform
  • Coordinate with the Digital Adoption team to promote and support adoption of Echelon and digital agronomy products
  • Provide feedback to internal digital agronomy product development teams and external Echelon (Agrian) Product Management regarding business needs and priorities
  • Work closely with external Echelon integration partners (e.g. JD, Raven, Climate etc.) to manage and align business strategies and implementation practices
  • Create and assist marketing team with development of materials, resources and media to promote understanding and value of Echelon services.
  • Manage content on website
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure the value of precision ag services are accurately captured and measured by providing pricing, administrative and product positioning guidance.
  • Works with Field Adoption team to develop content to support digital agronomic training and communication materials of an agronomic nature.
  • Present and speak at various internal meetings as necessary to support and promote Echelon adoption
  • Territory: The successful candidate will support Nutrien Ag Solutions Precision Ag efforts in: Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California and Oregon

What you will bring:

  • BS or MS in Agronomy, Soils, Ag Business or other ag-related degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of agronomic experience, other related project work experience, or demonstration of high level understanding of the agricultural industry
  • Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision ag practices, technology and supporting agronomic principles
  • Experience in marketing and positioning precision ag services for maximum value capture for a crop input retail business
  • Understanding and knowledge of various roles at a retail branch level and how they interact with precision ag technology
  • Passion for innovation
